Description

Here we have an unplayed copy of Voice on the Line / Stealin’ by Static on their own label EEYO Records (namely Extremely Excellent Yodelling Organisation). Static were formed by bassist Peter Buckler, twin brother of Rick Buckler, drummer of The Jam. He had left by the time this was released, his place taken by Andy Rose. Static were a small part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The A side of this single is more akin to Power Pop, but the Metal connection is well in evidence on the B side. The cover is hand stamped by the vocalist Noel Jones (that’s me folks) using the original stamp and ink pad first used back in 1982 when the record was made. Not a lot of these flying about these days. Come and have a look.
