THEY KEPT knocking them out, album after album of sheer brilliance full of vinegar and grit and 'Blue For You' is no exception. One of the last truly great Quo albums, BFY contains a brilliant selection of charging rock anthems including such 12 bar masterclasses as 'Is There A Better Way', 'Rain', 'Rolling Home' and the high spot 'Mystery Song', a truly epic nut crusher in the finest Quo tradition. The guitars are permanatly on stun, the drums are cranium cracking and the bass is gut wrenching - what more could you wish for. Sadly, for purests, post this album the band started to fall apart both musically and personally. These days Rossi and Parfitt are a joke, not much funnier than Chas & Dave, certainly less threatening and content to rehash secondhand Everly Brother's riffs. Back in the early seventies with guitars turned to eleven things were very different.
This is an original pressing with the fantastic silver embossed gatefold cover.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Superb clean and shiny condition. Virtually no spindle marks on labels and almost no other signs of any use. Grades as Nr shop fresh MINT-!
Cover: Very little signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated silver embossed gate fold cover - retains original printers bloom. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is perfectly straight, stiff and square. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 42 years after release.
