In terms of provenance I bought the record recently as part of a lot at a specialist music auction - Omega Auctions - on 31 May, lot 1034.
See description below. I bought it for the Springsteen record and am selling the others. You will see the seller is stated as having been a journalist with NME (New Musical Express) one of the UK's best known music magazines.
Description: ROCK - Collection of 6 x 7'' & 12'' to include Status Quo - Down the Dustpipe (white label test pressing), The Cult - Love Removal Machine (promo), The Police - Don't Stand so Close to Me (white label test pressing), Roxy Music - Love is the Drug (promo), Roxy Music - Love is the Drug 12'' Disco Mix (white label test pressing) and Bruce Springsteen - War (red label test pressing). These have come from the collection of a music journalist who used to work for NME. Condition is generally VG+ to EX.
