Released in 1968 I am offering today this Extremely rare South African pressing of the superb debut album by STATUS QUO titled 'PICTURESQUE MATCHSTICKABLE MESSAGES FROM THE STATUS QUO'. 

This is a STEREO 1968 SOUTH AFRICAN 1st pressing on the 1st Press RED PYE label. THIS LP WAS NOT MADE IN HUGE QUANTITY WHEN IT WAS RELEASED MAKING THIS RARE AND VERY HARD TO FIND. THERE IS NO RECORD OF THIS ALBUM EVEN EXISTING ON ANY OF THE QUO WEBSITES but this is it, A TRUE RARITY.

This LP visually is showing light bag rash through it being kept in a polythene inner for years, but I have just played through for these listing purposes and it is in EXCELLENT playing condition, absolutely No loud pops, no sticks and no sticks, overall a very nice album that every Quo collector should have in their collection.

The single sleeve is not a museum piece as can be seen in my pictures, There is some laminate missing to the front but overall it is very clean with fully legible spine text, For any interested bidders this is certainly VERY GOOD, with fully legible spine text, and free from any splits or tears etc. For anyone that has never heard this album, it is very different to their 70's output, a real 1960's pop classic.

The solid red labels are very clean with no stickers or unwanted writing etc

THIS IS THE 1968 SOUTH AFRICAN PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS RED PYE LABEL, AND 1ST PRESS ARTONE PRESS FRONT LAMINATED FLIP BACK SINGLE SLEEVE. THIS LP IS VERY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THE CHANCE TO BUY THIS RARE SOUTH AFRICAN ALBUM. A GREAT ALBUM FOR ANY QUO COLLECTORS.

The VINYL, The Vinyl visually and audibly is in very good condition, I have just played it through and it plays well with clear stereo sound and absolutely no loud pops or sticks & skips but there is some light crackle to be heard in the quiet parts which may go with a good clean. 

The SLEEVE, The Artone press front laminated flip back single sleeve is very good, It has lost some of the laminate on the front but the spine text is fully legible and the back is clean with no unwanted writing or stickers etc.  

The LABELS, The Yellow labels are very clean, with minimal spindle traces free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc.
