EXCELLENT CONDITION. VERY SCARCE REVIEWER COPY with Pre-production first draft of fold-out sleeve. Directly obtained by myself from the Phonogram art department in 1986.
I was actually in the art department at Phonogram when this item surfaced. The release of RED SKY was supposed to be only available as 7" and 12" singles. It was then decided to release a double pack with a bonus single in a gatefold sleeve. So the idea for a red poster sleeve was abolished. Also at the time at Phonogram, they were trying to tie up a deal with RED MOUNTAIN COFFEE. The idea was that certain reviewers were to be sent the record and a jar of coffee in order to put them in a good mood to promote the single. Obviously PHONOGRAM wanted the coffee to be branded as RED SKY and not RED MOUNTAIN but at the 11th hour this all fell through. Phonogram did send out some jars of coffee with a RED SKY sticker on the jar but it didn't have anything to do with RED MOUNTAIN. A very nice item and rediculously rare.
