Description

Steamhammer     MK.II     (British) Columbia CBS 63694

Sophomore release by this outfit finds them distancing themselves from their blooz-rock routes and going for the jazz/prog direction (and I said DIRECTION; this aint no Soft Machine), with longer tracks and all-original material. Version II finds this band augmented by Steve Jollife, who came from (and would return to) Tangerine Dream!!! Yet this band still rocks and future session man Martin Pugh throws in some of his mightiest guitar. He would soon leave Steamhammer to be a mainstay in the Rod Stewart Band, co-writing some of his early hits.

Disc is VG++. Cover has a small sticker on back, ringwear and a few biffs and worn corners. Original inner sleeve, even!

After a hiatus, during which we moved and built our Permanentrecords library/vault/watering hole, we are finally up and running as an Ebay seller again. Welcome back to all our old friends and hello to new ones. We’re going to try things a bit differently this time. We will still feature great, rare, obscure, strange and little-known vinyl, but we’ve decided on no reserves and a very low opening bid on even the choicest stuff. We’re hoping that this will keep you coming back to us for the chance at some genuine bargains and maybe even steals, as we allow each item to find its natural price.  We will of course still try to maintain the same high standards of service and customer satisfaction. Good hunting and keep in mind that we do offer a discount on combined shipping!
