Steamhammer (aka Reflection) was the debut album issued in 1969 by the British blues-rock band Steamhammer. Steamhammer was chosen as legendary blues guitarist Freddy King's backing band whenever he toured England. The musicians in the band were Martin Quittenton (guitar), Kieran White (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Martin Pugh (guitar), Steve Davy (bass), and Michael Rushton (drums). The album included classic blues numbers by B.B. King ("You'll Never Know") and Eddie Boyd ("Twenty-four Hours"), as well as compositions by band members White, Quittenton, and Pugh. The session musicians Harold McNair (flute) and Pete Sears (piano) also played on the album.
Already in 1970 the song "Junior's Wailing" was recorded by Status Quo on their album Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon.
vinyl is strictly graded visually as : ex++ to nr mint , pristine super clean playing surfaces , from my personal collection very well looked after !! and played on unweighted unworn stylus ...
audibly : please listen to the clip and judge for yourself , i would grade this as ex to near mint , as it plays with a clean distortion free sound through my nad amp and sony deck using a audio technicha stylus , this was recorded and then transferred to 320kbps mp3 quality so is not a true representation of how this will sound when you get this record home and put it on the deck , but it will proove how the record plays and give you an idea of any surface noise or pressing faults , i made the decision to soundclip the albums i sell this avoids problems after the sale hopefully , i believe you have the right to hear what your spending your hard earned money on !! as visual grading is subjective ,so sit back and have a listen to the audio clip and judge for yourself how well the record plays , and if you put a bid in good luck !!
this lp is very rare and hardly ever comes up for sale on ebay so do not miss this chance !!
please note this record has not been professionally cleaned !! so will sound even better if you use this process !!
sleeve grades as v.good + has sum light shelf wear mainly to the edges and corners , still a pretty reasonble example of this sleeve considering the age ...
