Description
Nice copy of the rare true original 1977 pressing of Steely Dan’s Aja, on ABC Records originally numbered AB-1006 A1…(with the “B”scratched out) Re-numbered as AA-1006 right after the small initial pressing of “AB”.. As mentioned above,
Original 1st pressing of this iconic LP from Steely Dan…this is the rare edition where the matrices were etched “AB”, with the “B” crossed out and an “A” added..the vinyl rates VG+, some non-feelable scuffs and “hairlines” but nothing deep like an actual scratch…..labels look great, have the “AA- 1006” numbers… the cover VG+ or better, nice deep black sheen, very light ring wear, solid spine… According to “Discogs”, this was the first pressing…here’s a couple reviews of this pressing in particular:
- OldRusty Jan 20, 2023: Just might be the best sounding pressing of this LP that I've got. And I've got a few. Mastered with super punchy energy & terrific spacious fidelity.
- FranksAndBeenz Jan 15, 2023 The pressing with the B scratched out is the best one. Its legit a first pressing stamper. These are the absolute best sounding. Easy to find in good shape too. Mine sounds so dynamic and full of life. I am in love with this record.
- USPS Media Mail Shipping $3.85
Vinyl will be placed in it’s own anti-static sheath, separate from its cover, with the cover in its own clear sheath, sandwiched between two cardboard spacers & well packed in a standard record mailer…
*Records have been given a basic cleaning, but I would recommend a proper cleaning to get even better sound and performance!Thank you
