Description
RARE FIRST PRESSING, 1972 ABC Records with Black label (not the later "rainbow" label) from the Santa Maria pressing plant. Matrix runouts ABCX-758-A 1A SX 1
Fully play-tested: The vinyl has light marks with light background crackles in some quiet moments on side A. Side A grades as strong VG, with no skips, pops or groove-wear, but light background crackles in quieter passages and between tracks. Side B grades as EX. Altogether, not an audiophile experience, but a good listen for those who enjoy a vintage, rare original pressing.
The gatefold album jacket is in strong VG+ condition with bumps/wear at the edges. But otherwise, there is no ring-wear, color-fading, stains, writing, or stickers.
The vinyl has been ultrasonically cleaned, handled with audiophile gloves (not hands), and stored and ships in an audiophile-quality anti-static inner sleeve. I also always store and ship albums in a protective 3 mil. plastic sleeve to keep these precious albums in excellent condition. This costs me a bit more, but it's worth it to ensure a high-quality record stays as pristine as possible.
Rest assured that you are buying this from a fellow fan who loves this album (I'm only selling it because I also have a less-valuable later pressing) and has fully listened to it and fairly graded. I want to respect your purchase and make sure this record is appreciated by the next owner. Check out my listings for hundreds of other albums from this era, all in beautiful condition. I always combine shipping for only $1 extra per additional record. Please just add them to your cart and checkout all at once.
I always properly pack and ship records quickly (from Florida, usually within 1 business day). Note that I fairly grade, provide detailed descriptions, and never use A.I. to write these, as doing so would be disrespectful to the buyer.
