CONCORDE AFFAIRE '79 aka THE CONCORDE AFFAIR OST Lp music by STELVIO CIPRIANI. Original Japanese 1st pressing on the POLYDOR label (MPF 1234), from 1979. Desirable and cult soundtrack masterpiece. Japanese-only and for us, the pinnacle late '70s sound of the maestro. Super seedy lounge funk cum motorik disco themes and cinematic orchestrations set the mood for sabotage and a race against time after a luxury supersonic plane crashes in the Caribbean. Basically, a trashy Italian cash-in on the "disaster movie" genre with a brilliant score that captures the decadent tale end of the disco era. Cipriani totally kills it on electric harpsichord / fender rhodes and synthesizers over spacey hypnotic themes with sleazy basslines / breakbeat drums / latin percussion / slick guitar hooks and futuristic touches a la Giorgio Moroder. Our soundclip opens with the elegantly stoned dub of NIGHT ESCAPE followed by several other important trax. Great for DJs. His CONCORDE THEME is re-worked into eclectic versions from mellow sexy bossa to underwater moods with psychedelic strings and menacing electronica. Music that should also appeal to lovers of the Italian zombie funk / giallo thriller and cannibal horror film style rare groove too. A film by exploitation director, Ruggero Deodato starring Mimsy Farmer / James Franciscus and Venantino Venantini. Striking artwork sleeve and our copy still has the elusive OBI (and insert ;) Very rare OST Lp!!! Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition overall with some hairlines and faint scuffs. Light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks (as you can hear on the soundclip). OBI and insert still intact. The thick card sleeve is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) albeit with some corner wear / light dings in places. Minimal ring wear. Sharp looking item. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Very Rare OST Lp!!!
