And since this is a question that comes up OFTEN, I dont send media mail because I am slightly paranoid that something could go wrong.
Albums are about 12.50" x 12.50", after putting cardboard and bubble wrap around them you need a box that is 13 x13 approximately 1.50" to 2" in height. Double LP's are usually 2 pounds.
We ship priority mail for two reasons, tracking number and insurance are included in the price, and records are fragile objects the less time they spend in a usps truck the better.
However I could ship media mail but having no tracking number or any sort of insurance I wouldn't be liable for any damage or loss of goods, at all.
