Description
TITLE/ARTIST: This hard to find and somewhat collectible Steve Aliamo LP - just his 2nd ever release - is on white colored, Checker Label - from the early years of R'n'R - 1962. The LP is entitled, "Mashed Potatoes", after the hit dance craze of that year - 1962. This LP is autographed by Steve Alaimo on the front cover and comes on white vinyl which makes me think in might be a promo copy - although I can't say for sure since no mention of this is made on the label itself. I'll just let you bidders make your own decisions about this issue... The album includes twelve (12) great songs from that time in music, including the title song(s), plus "I Like It Like That", "Hully Gully With Me" and 10 others (see the pictures above for all song titles). I will be listing other old, rare, and hard to find 45's, EP's, and LP's in my future auctions, so please check my site out from time to time - as there are hundreds more to get to yet. LABEL INFO: The white label (LP 2983) - in mono - is super clean and nice with nothing really negative to mention at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates very little, if any, play. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also super good - extremely shiny, clean and nice with nothing in need of a mention at all either - in my opinion, the vinyl looks about as nice as the day it was 1st purchased. JACKET: This autographed jacket is also primarily in very good overall condition - although it does show some signs of "aging" with either light dirt spots or early ring wear in some places on either side. In my opinion, none of this is too serious, especially given the rarity and collectability of this piece!. But, please view the pictures above and make your own decisions about everything. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion this original, autographed (and possible "promo") Steve Alaimo LP is primarily very clean and nice, not to mention how difficult it is to find anymore, so please have at it. As always, I have not listed it with any reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck!. In addition, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and even some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection, and there are 1000's of more records to get to yet -- of all varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (1st Class Mail and Delivery Confirmation) for the first 45/EP purchased, and then just $.50 per 45/EP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st 45/EP and then just $4.00 per 45/EP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. However, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
