STEVE LACY plays THELONIOUS MONK - Reflections - NEW JAZZ 8206 (original Deep Groove pressing / RVG stamp) - The cover is graded VG / VG-. The front looks good, the back cover less so and there is a 10" split on the top seam and a 1" split on the bottom seam (see photos). I was shocked at how the vinyl sounds vs. how the vinyl looks. The vinyl has a lot of light scuffs but a couple long marks, notably thru the tracks 1 and 2 on Side A and the 2nd and 3rd tracks on Side B. There is some surface noise in the middle section of "Four In One" and during the piano solo on "Skippy" but the rest is minor, sonically. It is a testament to how great these early pressings were that a record that looks VG, even VG- plays (with a few exceptions) VG+ to EX and is still a fantastic listen.
