Description

Absolutely beautiful copy of the 1970s pressing of Steve Reich’s Live / Electric Music LP on Columbia MS-7265. Features two very early side-long pieces, one being the famous Violin Phase, featuring Paul Zukofskyom violin. Side two is his own piano piece, It’s Gonna Rain. Both are amazing examples of his minimalist experiments with gradual phase shifting of a tape loop playing over itself. Mesmerizing.

The disc is pretty much mint and plays completely flawlessly and just beautifully. The cover is still in the shrinkwrap and is also nearly pristine, with just a bit of wear at the open edge. Barely. Really a marvelously top copy, hard to beat.
