Description
Up for auction is a copy of the sole LP by Steve & Stevie, aka Steve Kipner & Steve Groves, released in 1968 on Toast cat no TLP 2, a mono pressing (was there ever a stereo issue?). Following in the footsteps of the Brothers Gibb, these two Antipodean singer/songwriters upped sticks from Australia in the late 60s to settle in the UK, where this classic of Gibb-esque light psychedelia was recorded & released. But apparently not bought, as copies are now very scarce indeed. Kipner & Groves later formed Tin Tin, who forged a close relationship with the Bee Gees, while later still they both had successful careers as songwriters (Kipner in particular, who wrote -amongst others- Physical for Olivia Newton-John & Genie In A Bottle for Christina Aguilera). Produced by Nat Kipner, arrangements by Jerry Shury.
Condition: a mark or two on side 2, nothing feelable. Some general wear on the cover, again, nothing serious. VG+ all round.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
