STEVEN FROMHOLZ - HOW LONG IS THE ROAD TO KENTUCKY
This is the only known copy of Stevens 1st album in existence. Recorded in 1973 for Mike Nesmiths Countryside label but aborted just days before the pressing plant were due to manufacture vinyl records.
THIS ACETATE CAME FROM STEVEN HIMSELF. See pictures for full provenance. 
Unbeknownst to me at the time, Steven was suffering health problems and i assume was selling his own collection of Meerschaum pipes to cover medical costs. I was just in the right place at the right time to ask his sister Angela, who was selling his pipes on his behalf, if she knew how i could get a copy of this album either on acetate or test pressing. Jan Reid's book "The Improbable Rise Of Redneck Rock" gives almost a whole chapter detailing this whole sorry story of just how close this came to being released under the chapter title "Just a Waltz", pages 121-145
I'm not going to bang on about how legendary this album has become because if you are a Fromholz fan then there's nothing i can say that you don't already know. 
I truly hope that Darcie or Felicity, Steve's daughters, get to hear about this because this should really belong to them.
The condition of the acetate itself is VG+, it has obviously been played a few times but has NO flaking and plays through fine. I have personally only played it once, to record it. I have never tried cleaning it in any way as unless you really know what you are doing, great damage can be done to the surface of acetates. 
I will ensure that the acetate will be very well packaged and will only send with full tracking and insurance.
