BELLA DONNA - (THIS LP HAS SOME SLIGHT JACKET WEAR UNDER THE FACTORY SEAL FROM IT'S YEARS OF BEING OUT OF PRINT ) While Stevie Nicks had the most recognizable voice in Fleetwood Mac, there was no guarantee she could craft the same kind of pop-rock magic without the help of the Mac’s guiding force, Lindsey Buckingham.

As such BELLA DONNA found her emerging surprisingly strong as a solo talent. Part of the credit goes to Tom Petty, who gave her an excellent song in “Stop Dragging My Heart Around” (and duets with her on it). During her first six years with Fleetwood Mac, she amassed a large back catalog of songs. In 1981, she felt it was time to record some of them and the result was BELLA DONNA.

Employing a crack back up band that included members of the Heartbreakers and Roy Bittan from the E Street Band, the album combines rockers to the mid-tempo “Bella Donna” and “Outside Rain” along with ballads like her gorgeous duet with Don Henley, “Leather and Lace.

But other high points include the urgently rocking “Edge of Seventeen” and the country-tinged ballad “Leather and Lace” (a duet with Don Henley). The album hit the top of the charts and proved Stevie Nicks had the goods to make it on her own.

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR - This album was released in the Spring of 1989 and contains some of her strongest material, like the hit “Rooms On Fire”. On this Album, Stevie Nicks teams up with Ruper Hine to produce the set.

This is also the first album where Stevie did not write all the tracks, giving it different perspective. The first single from the album was the catch “Rooms On Fire“ which peaked at #16 during the summer of 1989, and “Doing The Best I Can” is a remarkable track. Stevie even manages to do a cover of Johnny Cash’s “I Still Miss Someone” offering an interesting and unique perspective on this cover. Other highlights include: Alice - Two Kinds of Love - Cry Wolf and fire Burning.
