Description
Rare 1972 first pressing white-label PROMO copy of Stevie Wonder's classic Talking Book LP on Tamla / Motown T-319L-DJ. Original Braille cover. The disc is in about VG condition, with some scuffs and light marks. Plays through with no skips or catches but there is some background noise, mainly between songs. The music is mostly louder than the noise so it usually sounds fine, but there are a couple of quieter songs that have a bit of audible noise in the background, particularly Tuesday Heartbreak on side one, and a bit more on side two, where it is noticeable in most softer parts. A little noise at the very beginning of Superstitious, when the drums are playing alone, but it disappears when the band comes in. A little more is audible here and there through the quieter parts on the rest of that side. Not a perfect copy but it is still enjoyable most of the time. The cover has some light ringwear on the back, and slight edgewear, but is in excellent shape otherwise with no rips, creases, or seam splits. A real promo is rare in any condition.
