Description
STIFF LITTLE FINGERS "Suspect Device"/"Wasted Life" 7" (Rigid Digits, SRD 1, 1978). This is a very nice example of the sought after hand cut sleeve version, limited to the first 350 or 500 (according to different sources). The disc has the first pressing, red Rigit Digits label with the catalogue number on the right hand side.
Condition.
Disc: EX+, under a 100w bulb only a few hairline marks can be detected on each side, nothing of any consequence. The disc has been cleaned on a Loricraft PRC-3 and playback is faultless. The labels have tiny initials written above the Rigits Digits logo on the A side (you may be able to make this out in the scan), the B side has a "2" in black marker pen written near the spindle, as is found on many initial copies of this 45, having been put there by the band.
Sleeve: VG+, not far off EX, only the thin nature of the paper used for this initial batch makes finding copies without some faint creasing very difficult. This is still a lovely example, there is some wear and discolouration at the opening edge and at this point on the back of the sleeve a name and date has been neatly written: This date, 30/3/78 -the original purchase date by the sole owner of this 45, indicates this was one of the first copies purchased (It was released on 17/3/78). The sleeve has no seam splits, commonly found on these pressings because of the thin paper.
This single will be posted securely, with the disc in a new white paper sleeve to ensure no seam splits occur to the picture sleeve.
