STIGMATHE was one of the most interesting formations of Italian alternative music between 1979 and 1986.
Fabri, who had years of collaboration in the various formations of Modena, had decided
to form their own band, and leaving the roles of drummer and guitarist, wanted to deal only
with singing and writing lyrics and music. The atmosphere sounds were those related to
'Post Punk influence of Killing Joke, PIL, Joy Division and intimate but always strictly visionary
texts sung in Italian. From 1982 to 1983 Fabri was a brother to a more extreme version
of the music and lyrics heavily politicized and passed to
a minimal Punk become faster and more hardcore sound
