Description

STILL LIFE s/t LP, Vertigo 6360 026, UK 1st pressing from 1971 with a large 'swirl' Vertigo label. It is a one-off British Progressive Rock album steeped in gothic classicism with a swirly organ-driven sound & superb 'Design Machine' artwork including a giant skull image on the back of the gatefold.

The matrices in the dead wax of the vinyl end 1Y/1/ 2Y/1. The label design is the very first print with the swirl logo design in large running all the way to the center spindle hole located in the middle.

The gatefold picture sleeve comes in a matte finish with a ‘VO Price Code’ printed on the rear.

CONDITION

The disc is in a NM / archive condition. While examined under a direct strong lamp, a few slightest faint marks can be observed, but there are no significant scratches or major faults.

Both sides of this copy have received very little play on a top-quality equipment only. Every track sparkles with clean, clear, and unworn sound quality which is free from any traces of groove wear distortion or background interference. Apart from a hint of regular low-level vinyl background on the run-ins, between tracks, as well as a single light single click and tick on side 2, this is as the most perfect sounding copy you could ever wish for.

The cover is in a VG+ condition, fully intact with some minor edge wear, mild creases, and minimal age patina. However, there are absolutely no bad scuffs, tears, or damages. Unfortunately, there is previous owner's name and address written inside the cover that causes my downgrade.
