STILL LIFE - self titled
A superb condition copy of this UK 1st press prog gem with gleaming vinyl, lovely gatefold outer, and flawless stereo sound quality throughout
Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - most would grade as "near mint", I am sure - completely flat and displaying a beautiful jet black sheen. In normal daylight both sides of the vinyl come across as unmarked and even with very close inspection under a bright light the only marks I can detect are just a couple of inconsequential, small and extremely faint paper scuff grazes : purely superficial and nothing to impinge upon the the flawless stereo audio quality. Near mint (NM) condition labels : if you look very, very closely you may be able to detect just a couple of small and extremely faint spindle marks adjacent to the centre hole on the side 2 label but to all intents and purposes the condition of both labels is perfect. Clearly, this is a record that has been little played (a few times at most in my estimation) and meticulously looked after. Very good plus VG+) condition non-laminated Howard Printers outer gatefold sleeve. Such an iconic sleeve and so difficult to come across originals in such impressive condition as this. All colours, art work, photos and text remain in crisp, vibrant condition and with great definition still. The interior of the gatefold is superb with just a couple of small and very light handling/storage marks. The only blemishes of note are an obvious and noticeable scuff mark on each of the front and reverse side where a sticker has been clumsily removed (see photos). All edges remain firm with just some minor sporadic and very light scuffing on the top and bottom edges, and the spine remains rigid with no scuffing and all spine text remaining completely intact. The corners remain near perfectly defined right angles, the opening edges are firm with no fraying, there is no cardboard creasing or unwanted writing...just beautiful, and very hard to believe that this outer gatefold sleeve is 55 years of age! Superb near mint (NM) stereo audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, distortion or interference, clicks or background crackle. Crystal clear stereo sound quality throughout with great tone and each and every track a great listen with multiple searing organ solos...such an underrated and, at the time of it's original release, "under the radar" album. There is complete silence on both sides during the run-in's and run-off's which is always a sure sign that the record has been well cared for. Comes with original poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve with no side splits or tears, barely any creasing and just a little occasional very mild age discolouration towards the edges - otherwise perfect! Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. Very rare and highly sought after 1971 UK 1st press prog gem - gleaming, barely played vinyl, superb audio, and the iconic outer gatefold sleeve remains eminently presentable despite the single scuff marks on both the front and back sides.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
