Kontakte was first performed in this version on June 11th 1960 from a performance at the 34th World Music Festival of the IGNM in Cologne. The composition was designed to combine electronic sounds with the sounds of traditional instruments in one piece. Performers are David Tudor, piano & percussion, Christoph Caskel, percussion & Karlheinz Stockhausen/Gottfried Michael Koenig, electronics. Record is in NEAR MINT+ (appears unplayed) condition & jacket is NM. Essential recording for anyone interested in electronic, experimental or improvised music.
