Here’s a Mainstream gem from 1969. These Montreal based musicians decided to journey south of the border to New York to find their scene. Known as The Funky Farm, Mainstream decided to change their name for the release of the album. In typical record business style, Mainstream didn’t even inform the band of the name change! Featuring an outrageous psychedelic cover of a very colorful and oversized clown engulfed in an earthquake with flames, it certainly would catch ones attention even for 1969, when such a sight was more common. Stone Circus possess the same songwriting qualities as Strawberry Alarm Clock, and period instrumentation (fuzz guitar, old organs) but lack that naivete so prevalent to the era. However, if you love wah-wah, this record is dripping in it!
CONDITION: RECORD VG+. The vinyl is in beautiful shape with minimal surface noise. COVER VG+. The jacket looks great . The only minor faults are a tiny "cut -out" hole in the left top corner which sits along side a tiny price tag staple and about an inch of minor paper loss in the bottom left corner.
PayPal only. I ship items on Saturday each week and will often ship before that if needed. I will be as detailed and accurate in my description as possible so please read the entire thing before bidding! Some records , books, or posters may be exceptionally rare but are less than perfect condition so please ...read before bidding! Payment : I will hold your item for the 7 days after auction ends. I will send you an email if I have not received your payment in case there is a legitimate problem on your end. Please don't bid if you think you can't pay for any reason. If payment is not secured I will relist the item. Sorry, I have to do this but it is the only way. If you think there may be a problem just send me a "note to seller" before the seven days are up. Feedback: I will leave you positive feedback as soon as payment is cleared. Please do the same and please remember that sellers need a perfect score just to stay in business. If there is a problem, please contact me here (I check at least twice daily) and we will work it out. There is no problem we can't solve between each other. I used to manage a used record store for many years and I know how particular we all are. Shipping & Handling: $5.35 (Priority)- not $4.00 unless you don't mind waiting awhile for Media Mail- within the U.S. If you wish for faster service please let me know and I will email you the shipping amount. This charge covers the cost of shipping through the USPS and for the shipping and packing materials. I'm not a seller trying to squeeze out more profit from a S/H Charge. Please note that S/H charge may be more if you order multiple items. I am meticulous about packing records for shipment. International Bidders : Always welcome. I will email you the Shipping and Handling Invoice if it is not listed correctly for whatever reason. Sorry, I do not ship to Italy.price rating
