THE STONE ROSES - "Second Coming" - Rare original 1994 UK 1st pressing limited edition 12-track double vinyl LP including Ten Story Love Song & Love Spreads. The two LP's come housed in a beautiful glossy gatefold sleeve. Cat.No. GEF 24503.
The Stone Roses were one of those bands who burned brightly... and all too briefly. O.K. We all know about how good the first album was, but this is the follow up to "one of the best albums ever". This album took an agonising 5 years to conceive - 5 years!!! That's half a decade!!! That's 1/20 of a Century!!! Some band's careers don't even last for 5 years. So, the big question, what is the second coming actually like? Well, I have never been disappointed with this album. The first 3 songs, Breaking into Heaven, Driving South and Ten storey love song, pick up where "The Stone Roses" left off in that golden summer of 1989. Tunes!! That's what it all boils down to and top ones at that. This original double vinyl album contains 12 songs, 10 of which easily stand along side anything from the first album, which is commonly deemed one of the best albums ever. Infact, I'll even stick my neck out and state that "Begging you" is better than anything by any band. The Stone Roses nearly killed themselves and each other during the making of this album. If you listen closely, you can clearly hear the tension, confusion, paranoia, drugs, fights, tears and insecurity that dominated their lives during the studio sessions. But at the end of the day The Stone Roses came out on top with this truly excellent 2nd and sadly final album. Once this album hits you, it won't stop sounding better with every listen - buy it, give it a chance and get into it!!

MINT (M): The record displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.
EXCELLENT (EX): Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing
VERY GOOD (VG): Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects
GOOD (G): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing

Packing Procedures: All 12" / LPs are securely and well packed in top quality material to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit. When posted the records are removed from the cover, if possible, and placed in a PVC outer protective sleeve to prevent sleeve splits in the post. I use brand new mailers, either the envelope style with thick stiffeners to prevent any sleeve bends in transit, or the "cruciform" style that wrap around the LP. I aim to dispatch all items within 48 hours of receiving payment. It is recommended that you choose the insurance option for higher value items. As stated above I cannot be held responsible for any item(s) lost or damaged in the post that are not shipped via insured / registered mail. I always obtain a certificate proof of posting receipt for every item sent, which will complete our transaction. Thank you for taking the time to look at my listings, I hope you will be lucky if deciding to make a bid.
