I TRY TO RATE MY RECORDS VERY CONSERVATIVELY AND BE TOTALLY HONEST ABOUT CONDITION, AND THEN CLEARLY STATE THE GRADES AND THEN PRICE ACCORDINGLY. THE PICTURES SHOULD ALSO CONFIRM THEIR CONDITION. I INCLUDE A PLASTIC PROTECTOR SLEEVE ON ALL OF MY ALBUMS. CHECK OUT MY OTHER VINTAGE/RETRO AND ANTIQUE ITEMS ON E-BAY, MANY OF WHICH ARE QUITE UNIQUE AND UNUSUAL. THANK YOU, JEFF Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!

Bio and discography compiled by Luke J
A few years ago NOFX played Boston and asked the crowd of several hundred "what ever happened to Stranglehold?", everyone just looked at each other. Stranglehold came out of the early 80's Boston scene, but have been completely overlooked and forgotten ever since, mainly because their releases had small print runs and never really got good distribution. Stranglehold played a lot with The Freeze and The F.U.'s, never being hard enough for the X-Claim crowd as their sound was more South London then South Boston. It's a shame because if they had been from California they would've been huge. Stranglehold played punk on par with early English stuff like Stiff Little Fingers and the Buzzcocks. At one point, the band included Gang Green frontman Chris Doherty on guitar.

Thankfully Taang! Records has re-released their LP and 7" along with some live stuff on CD. If you've never heard of these guys and are into the early English sound or just straight up punk then do yourself a favor and get the Crash and Burn CD and listen to one of the most under-rated American punk bands.
