  • Sleeve - some minor signs of age, as follows; there is a little wear to top left corner, slight 'storage' outer rim record-shaped impression and 4 small 'crinkles'/lines by the spine. Overall nothing major at all and otherwise fine (a light clean with a soft eraser would not go amiss!). The main reason for wanting this though - the four signatures - are great examples, all crystal clear with absolutely no smudging or fading. Please see photos provided.
  • The Signatures - as stated above, the cover is FULLY signed and all four signatures are great examples, all crystal clear with absolutely no smudging or fading. The album is from the vast Stranglers collection of my ex-wife, who collected the band's releases from 1977 until about 2000; she attended many fan conventions and met the band on numerous occasions. The JJ signature is dated '79', so I presume that the cover was signed around the time of the LP's release. Anyway, you can rest assured that these signatures are 100% genuine.
  • Vinyl (album) - please note that the record does show signs of being played; this was my ex-wife's and she always played any enjoyed her vinyl! There are some noticeable but generally pretty light surface marks on each side - these are NOT feelable deep scratches but light ones on the top surface; the record plays fine throughout with NO jumps, sticks etc. I would say that it would grade at about a Record Collector VG. Still, the record is quite easily replaced should you wish - it's the signatures and the mispressed EP that make this lot desirable, I'd have thought! Having said that, I have bought records graded as EX that turned out to be in worse condition than this, so don't think it's trashed by any means - basically it has some marks from use but it plays without any major problems!
  • Vinyl (7" EP) - there is a light scratch on track 2 of Side 1 - this causes just a few 'ticks' but NO jumps or sticks ... otherwise fine.
• OTHER DETAILS - a 1979 UK LP on the United Artists label in FULLY SIGNED sleeve, complete with lyric inner, MISPRESSED light brown/beige coloured bonus 7" EP and 'titles' card insert. The bonus 7" EP was a limited edition, with almost all being pressed on white vinyl - only VERY few were mispressed as this beige colour (there were also a few mispressed in pale blue).

  Once again, please note that the LP shows signs of being played and there is one mark on track 2 of the EP that causes a few 'ticks' - as noted above the signatures are very nice examples.

  Non English speaking bidders - PLEASE be sure that you understand this - don't win the item and then tell me later "the album vinyl was only in VG-/VG condition" ... I know !!! It's CLEARLY detailed above, so PLEASE be sure that you do, too !!! If in doubt, ASK before bidding ... thanks.
