Absolutely beautiful original 1960 copy of Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier conducted by Antal Dorati, on Mercury Living Presence Stereo Colorback LP SR90099. The disc has just a touch of very minor superficial markings but plays just about flawlessly and truly beautifully. There is some sleeve spotting on side two, which is not damage, rather that spotting that comes from sitting in a appear sleeve for years... anyhow it is barely noticeable and does not affect the gorgeous playback at all. This copy sounds just glorious. A true audiophile classic and a really pleasure to hear on a beautiful original copy like this. The cover is also excellent, with just a bit of lifting of the lamination at the left side, but it is untorn. There is very very light ringwear noticeable on the back and a tiny bit of cornerwear at the lower corners. All minor. Really a beautiful copy, very hard to beat.
