Description
This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
Columbia UK pressing of SAX 2336/7 on Blue & Silver labels of Johann Strauss "Die Fledermaus"performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Akkerman. Soloists include Wilma Lipp, Christa Ludwig, Anton Dermota and Walter Berry. Big stereo corner flipback sleeves and the original company inners present. This set is near Mint with no marks to the playing surfaces, clean labels and the sleeves are in excellent condition
Record plays on my Linn Sondek virtually perfectly, no skips or jumps, just little crackles in places and occasional pop. The one point to note: On side 4, at the start of band one there is a "tick" for about 25 seconds.
Please note that I have not tried cleaning these records with a vinyl cleaning solution which might clear some of the crackles.
Note each record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve. The two mailer will be taped together and posted in a mailing bag.
