CONDITION DETAILS:

JACKET (VG++)  Solid, clean seams; very slight paper rippling on spine w/½” partial paper loss at bottom; square corners; small drill hole upper right; fresh, glossy cover slicks, handful of very faint foxing spots on front; tiny hint of rub wear top & bottom. Another very cool piece of artwork here, including the often colored-in maze-like ink drawing on the back (you'll never get to appreciate that on a CD!)

VINYL (M-)  Extremely clean; visually and play grades M-; virtually noise-free. Clean, unblemished labels.  Not much more can be said, this is a high quality piece.

INSERTS - None, as issued. Original, slit-free, plain paper inner sleeve w/die-cut label-view opening.

PERSONAL NOTES ON THE MUSIC - This is the third album released by the SAC, again quickly produced to capitalize on the success of the debut "Incense..." hit and the band's subsequent contribution to the period-piece movie Psych Out.  This record, I have to say, is a strange bird.  Side one approaches MOR pop and includes strings and horns, as well as outside composers.  It is rather far afield from the typical psychy SAC offerings, and frankly is a surprising let down.  Perhaps related to this, five of side one's six songs were arranged by outsider George Tipton.  That said, flip the disc over and run Side 2 if you want to hear the REAL Alarm Clock!  The original sound that made them famous is all there, including the hit single "Barefoot In Baltimore."  All six tunes were band-written and they feature all the classic SAC trademarks: sustained fuzz guitar work, cool vibratome work, trippy vocals and arrangements, and a neat jazzy instrumental to close it all out.  Side two by itself is worth the price of admission!

I describe my records with as many details as possible, because I want you to get what you think you're getting.  I have been a buyer of records on eBay for many years and I know just how sparsely or inaccurately described so many records are.  I want this to be a positive buying experience for you.  My photos accurately show the full jacket (front and back), full disc (front and back), special sleeves or inserts (front and back), as well as an angle view of the spine.  All my records have been shelf-stored vertically in a non-smoking home since their purchase.  They have only been played on high-quality vintage turntables using audiophile-level cartridges and styli (eg. currently using Shure M97xE) at a tracking force of 1.5g+.?
