Description

The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid.  The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's.  An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored.  These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay.  With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await.  My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner.  I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed.  I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find.   All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
World Pacific Jazz deep groove MONO vinyl LP PJ-1239 (listed on jacket and labels)- released 1957 (according to Goldmine's Price Guide To Collectible Jazz Albums 1949 - 1969, the original 1957 pressing of this LP has selection PJ-1239 printed on label and the second pressing (1958) has WP-1239.  I am listing this LP according to that information.  The jacket, which also has the same PJ-1239 selection number, DOES have year 1958 printed on rear cover.  A bit of a conundrum but again, am siding with Goldmine's diligent research.
NM deep groove vinyl appears new and unplayed with original sheen and gloss.  Play test on NAD C555 turntable revealed rich clear analogue sound - a quality pressing.  EX cover has some shelf wear, edge and rear cover seam area discoloration consistent with age.
