Description

"STRONG LOVE" b/w "FIRE", SMOKEY

S&M Records MX-108, released in 1980

Legendary private label New Wave synth with gay themed lyrics

This copy comes in the very rare picture sleeve, with "Fire" as the B side.

The vinyl is a conservative VG+, looks perfect but there's a little very faint crackle. This is not uncommon on DIY recordings.

The sleeve is also VG+; tanned where it was white, a few folds, no tears or seam splits. The label is perfect.

Neither Popsike or Discogs has any sold history for the picture sleeve version, or this red label/black vinyl version with "Fire" as the B side of this record. They also show the release date of the other versions as 1982; the picture sleeve shows a date of 1980. I imagine that makes this the true first pressing; this is a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity.
