About This Record: This is an original copy of the rarely seen mono version of the Doors LP released in the USA in 1968 entitled Waiting for the Sun. This LP ONLY came out on this "bronze" gold Elektra label; no tan labels, or slightly brown labels . . .and it came out in -1A, -1B and -1C formats. The formats (where the mono and the stereo denominations are printed on the labels (on the left, or the right, above or below the spindle groove on the label, depending on the given with the pressing plant. I highly recommend this LP, but Side One of the cool -1C Elektra labels does have a big name in black marker on one label, and the vinyl has some fingerprints etc. But I grade conservatively, please look at my feedback. I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. All vinyl comes cleaned on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine.
Cover Condition: STRONG Very Good (VG) unipack gatefold with LP entry inside the gatefold; light to medium wear on gatefold corners, with light seam wear and some light to medium creases. Not so far from VG+. Please See all the Photos I took. I didn't take them for fun and frolic.
Vinyl Condition: Super STRONG Very Good (VG) vinyl. Looks VG with finger prints and some hairlines, but plays mainly VG+ with some pops, but nothing bad, and light background noise and many EX moments. Nice keeper copy as these things go. Few light scuffs and paper marks, but Plays great. No sticks, jumps or major problems like that. Tough to upgrade or even find.
Labels. Excellent (EX) / Very Good (VG) labels with writing on one side (name "Sieseseer"). Please see photos of all labels. The shadows are shadows from my photos, and not defects on the labels that you see in the photos.
Inserts: Comes with original factory Elektra Records orange/white paper inner sleeve, but no worries, it comes cleaned on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine and in a new rice paper sleeve equivalent.
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
