Description
I am selling my copy of Styx' third LP titled The Serpent Is Rising. It was released on the Wooden Nickel label in October 1973 a mere three months after Styx II came out. This turned out to be their worst selling LP of all time doing maybe 100,000 copies sold. It has also become very rare. I picked up the copy you see here in 1974 after some friends turned me on to Styx through the Man Of Miracles LP. I bough all four Wooden Nickel releases then. I played this record maybe once and it has been stored away in a non-smoking air conditioned environment since. I grade my copy to be in Near Mint condition. The vinyl looks close to flawless as if it was never played. The cover also looks close to flawless as if it has just been unwrapped. Cannot find any imperfections on it. Please check my photos closely if you are interested. The generic white inner sleeve does have a couple of creases and some yellowing has taken place but there are no seam splits. In my opinion you will not find a better used first press copy of this record anywhere.
