"Philco Radio Hall Of Fame" Radio Show Transcription Discs from The American Broadcasting Company. One complete 30 minute radio program on these two, one sided, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 33 1/3 rpm discs. These discs were made by ABC for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare!
"Philco Radio Hall Of Fame" radio program from April 14, 1946 starring Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra with guests Joe DiMaggio, Frankie "Sugar Chile" Robinson, Roland Young, Martha Tilton
The first song by the orchestra is a longer version of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" by Paul Whiteman's Orchestra.
Paul Whiteman introduces Joe DiMaggio as it's the start of the baseball season. Paul Whiteman interviews DiMaggio, who mentions that he hit a home run today, and talks about his brothers Vince & Dom, also center fielders in baseball
Roland Young tells Paul Whiteman that he played baseball in England long ago, but can't remember the rules, so Joe DiMaggio explains baseball to Roland Young
Martha Tilton sings "In Love In Vain
Piano player Frankie "Sugar Chile" Robinson is introduced in a "Stairway To The Stars" portion of the radio show, a segment that introduces up and coming stars. Paul Whiteman interviews the 7 year old pianist, who plays "Sugar Chile Boogie" then plays piano and sings on "Be Baba Leba" & "Caldonia"

Discs are in Excellent Condition with Excellent Sound, Beautiful Discs! There is some light damage to the labels which is visible in the scans
