Description
This is a very good original pressing copy of the second LP by NYC electronic duo Suicide, produced by the Cars' Ric Ocasek and released in 1980. The jacket looks good overall, but has a number of flaws. The most significant is probably light staining over the top half of the back cover and in the upper right corner of the front cover (I'm guessing it's from a red wine spill). Other flaws include sticker residue on the front cover, substantial creasing in the upper right corner of the front cover and the corresponding corner on the back cover, light creasing along the spine on the back cover, and light ring wear -- overall VG-. (I've included a picture of the upper right corner of the front cover so that you can get a sense of what the staining from the wine(?) and removed sticker look like.) The bottom seam has come unglued, but since that doesn't affect the jacket's appearance, I haven't factored it into my grading. The disc is in much better condition. There appears to be something small embedded in the vinyl at the start of side 1, track 2, and it causes several pops (though none that are particularly loud), but otherwise the record is in fine overall condition with some light scuffing and a few fingerprints, and it plays with light (mostly) to moderate surface noise (EX-). The record comes with a custom inner sleeve (VG+).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. Many records were purchased new. Most were played just 1-2 times and taped. I have visually graded discs except where otherwise noted, and have tried to err on the side of caution when imperfections are apparent.
