Description
Elvis Presley with Scotty and Bill on Sun 209 - original issue from 1954 - Thats All Right / Blue Moon of Kentucky. Visual examination of the playing surface shows signs of wear and unfortunately it is cracked from the edge to the start of the run-off and has been stabilized and marked with a piece of yellow tape to ensure it is handled correctly, the crack does not tick. The record plays nicely on my system using a Schure M78S cartridge and stylus with good fidelity although there is a bit of surface sound associated with juke wear when played without any filters etc. but when I engaged the filter option on my amp a signficant amount of the surface sound disappeared bringing it up to a VG so overall taking into account the crack and the way it plays I am going to grade it a strong VG-. Elvis on Sun is getting hard to find especially in nice condition and this is a satisfactoryexample which I am only selling as I have been offered so blues records which are my main interest.
My grading is E+/E/E-/VG+/VG/VG-/G+ with the occassional extra + if required. I have listed a group of blues 78s so check these out as well.
I have been collecting 78s for some time so know how to pack records properly for safe shipping. Notwithstanding ebay's postage limits which are clearly inadequate to properly pack and ship high end records shipping will be at actual cost so PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE BEFORE PAYING.
