Rarity alert! LA psych and spiritual jazz collective Sun Atlas break open the coffers with their first vinyl outing of a once-hidden album. The self-named 'Sun Atlas' was an intended follow-up to this band's already mystery-shrouded debut single 'The Mystic Parade / Grand Theft'; a reliquary's worth of treasures. First intended as a handful of acetates cut for DJs to test mixes before plans were disrupted by the pandemic. Raw and instinctive, 'Superduper' and 'Indian Tiger' pendulate from rock to hard places, pulsing with twangy, hoodoo-stacking guitars, ethereal organs, and cuepoint programmable drums, proving yummy fare for DJs despite live-played, vintage instrumentation.
