Description

The winnings of this auction will go to the renting of recording equipment. My band is getting ready to record an album and we need to raise as much money as possible to rent amps, guitars, microphones, and a reel-to-reel machine. We've decided to gather our records, equipment, and other odd items to sell on ebay and craigslist.
All of the records I have for sale are from my personal collection, so I will be able to offer you the kind of detailed appraisal of their condition that most ebay sellers won't give you.
I've listened to every single one of these LPs, and while most sellers will offer a vague "VG+" rating with no other information, I not only use a more complicated grading system, but I can also tell you specifics about any particularly noticeable scratches or factory defects.  I've been swindled by sellers so many different times, the last thing I want to do is mislead a fellow record collector on an item they've probably been waiting to own.
In my experience, even most brand new, unopened records have small amounts of surface noise here and there. Some are better than others, but keep in mind with my grading that I only use NM when it's actually true.
Every record I own has been stored in a cool, dry shelf away from all light and heat, in a room that never gets higher than 65 degrees fahrenheit.
The Listing:
Sun City Girls - Dawn of the Devi. This is a journey. A great record with a lot of energy and some incredible collaborative work between the three musicians involved. The record has a good amount of gloss and sheen but has clearly been listened to, I can't say how many times, but even with some light scuffs and superficial scratches, the record still plays as a solid Top VG+. Sides A and B are both about the same in terms of surface noise, which is never overpowering, but occasionally noticeable. The cover has some light rubbing and scuffing, and a bit of edgewear, putting it at a Bottom VG+

Grading System: Like most sellers, the only time the grade "M" or Mint is used, is if a record is sealed. Even a sealed record will have it's sleeve inspected for dings or dents.  That being said, for every grade used (NM, EX, VG+, VG, VG-, and G), I will add an extra category to each in order for there to be a TOP VG+ or a BOTTOM VG+.
For example: A Bottom EX is slightly better than a Top VG+, and a top VG is nearly as good as a bottom VG+. As I've stated, I have had too many sellers who vaguely label everything VG+ even if it plays like a VG, and use NM when there are clearly scratches on 20-30% of the record. I will only use NM if the record appears to have 95% of its surface immaculate, and even then, any apparent factory defects can not affect play.
In my opinion, about 70% of the records rated VG+ on Ebay that I've purchased should have been rated VG if using true goldmine standards. I personally do not use goldmine standards because I can offer a more detailed and accurate appraisal.
If you have ANY questions about specifics, please message me. I do digital transfers of my LPs, so most of them have only been played a handful of times once in my possession. In most cases, I can offer a sound sample if you e-mail me.

Record will be packed with reinforced cardboard and a quality cardboard mailer. I can only ship to the US, UK, and Canada. For US mainland, shipping will be $4.00. For Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and the UK, I will have to quote you a shipping charge when the auction ends. Please wait for a message from me with the correct amount for shipping to anywhere besides the US mainland. I write "No Returns" for my own protection, as it's common for people to scam. If you truly don't believe that the record matches the description, message me and hopefully we can work something out.
Once again, I will only ship to the US, England, and Canada. My apologies if you live somewhere else.
Good luck bidding, and please feel free to ask any questions.
