Description
"The Million $ Quartet" (renewed as the "Class of '55"). Nine-O-One magazine (outside of Memphis, the only way to get this special issue was with the TV Offer for the Class of '55 LP, which also came with an interview LP, all the rest of which I sold long ago OR if you subscribed to this magazine). This project was an LP & also a TV Special. Scans: #1: cover, #2 Jerry Lee, #3-4 centerfold (Roy O, JLL, Perkins, Cash & producer Chips Moman, singing the jam "Big Train to Memphis"), #5 Carl Perkins (smoke 'em if ya got 'em), #6 CP & Jerry Lee, #7 the Man in Black: Johnny Cash, #8 Rick Nelson sits in on the jam, with Cash & Perkins, #9 press conference for this project (Moman, Roy O, JLL, Cash, Perkins, & the star of our show: Sam Phillips (without whom, none of this would've ever happened), #10 the then-current "Million $ Quartet", #11 Sam Phillips at the press conference, & #12 Sam Phillips & Elvis @ Sun (this is out of my fanzine "Elvis #2" which features a comprehensive interview with Sam Phillips & this fanzine does not come with the 9-O-1 magazine, but can be added on: see search below).
Condition: near mint (slight fraying to spine from opening the magazine), otherwise clean (no writing, tape, etc., see scans).
Postage within USA is $4 for first class. Overseas please add $7 via air first-class. Canada please add on $5.50 via air first class.
