Description
This original vinyl album has not been played in 35 years or more, because in 1988 when CDs came out, I put my albums away and never played them again, especially because I had a radio show at John Carroll University called The Morning CD Showcase, compiling a few hundred CDs, so it is being sold as-is no returns due to its age. We ‘thought’ that CDs were ‘the way to go’, but now, we know better… (Some albums never made it onto CD, so they are vinyl only.) IN THE 1960s, WE WERE 'IN AWE' OF SUN RA, BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT HIS PICTURE ON THE BACK OF THE ALBUM PLAYING THAT CHEEZY FARFISA ORGAN, IT WAS OMG... I GUESS A HAMMOND B3 WOULD NOT DO THE JOB... ONE OF THE TRUMPET PLAYERS IN MY BAND NAMED WATSON "QUADIR" VAUGHN PLAYED WITH SUN RA, FOR A WHILE (YOU CAN HEAR HIM SOLO IF YOU GOOGLE "MOTHER BRAINTREE 'SAILING' ") - HE TOLD ME THAT SUN RA SAID THAT "HE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH ENERGY." WELL, SUN RA EXPECTED HIM TO PLAY FOR THREE OR FOUR HOURS STRAIGHT ON TUNES THAT DID NOT HAVE A DESIGNATED BEGINNING OR END... OH WELL, YOU NEEDED CHOPS TO PLAY SUN RA TUNES, RIGHT?
