SUN RA ARKESTRA. SUNRISE IN DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS. DOUBLE ALBUM. HAT HUT RECORDS. HAT HUT SEVENTEEN (2R17). US PRESSING.

My listening equipment is a highly revealing Roksan Xerxes/Artemiz/Shiraz turntable, pre/power amplification and Castle speakers.

Played on my system, this LP grades Good to Very Good depending on which side you are listening to. Basically when the material is quiet, such as solo piano, you will hear typical LP background noise; when the material is louder, such as full ensemble playing, you won't hear background noise. Side one has background noise to the piano intro and outro. Side two has minor background noise to quiet parts. Side three has a 1cm light scratch which produces some clicking. Side four is mainly full orchestral playing so is fine. This is below my normal standards for listing (I'm selling on behalf of a local hospice), but Sun Ra LPs are so rare (and his fans so devoted) I'm making an exception for this one. The unlaminated gatefold cover is in very good condition.
