very rare record as U know. it plays much much better than it looks, has scuffs and scratches BUT plays very nice. plays thru with light surface noise and one milli-sec. of a thump... theres´all told about 5+ minutes of higher noise but only during the flute and bass solo parts at both ends (A+B) of the lp - as soon as the piano passages (sides A+B) start it´s gone ; reminds me a bit of some of the mediocre pressings: a slight sound of scuffs as you´ve heard many a time - but this here must be a VG for a Saturn LP imo. this isn´t free jazz by my standards and i just love the old quieter RA stuff and this is one of the finest. postage is 12$ without insurance - good luck and pls wait for posatge if U want tracking+insurance.

added a bit to SOUNDCLOUD.com where you can find: SUN RA Interstellar_1 ----- you can hear every cuts´ 1st 1/2 minute and the passages at the end of both sides where the solos get some surface noise as stated - hope it clarifies any further questions you might have
FIRST ISSUE b.t.w. -- this maybe another important component: this LP is, as U might not know: a 1st issue, so pls go to popsike.com; i only saw the ones with regular el saturn labels, hope this makes it even rarer??? --- its for her, not me!!
oooppppss............ there is one of these at popsike and sold for 180 many moons ago!
