  SUN RA & HIS BLUE UNIVERSE ARKESTRA LP UNIVERSE IN BLUE (Saturn Research ESR 200). Released 1973.


  Delectable well-preserved original US stereo pressing from 1973. Cover & disc   both look great. Recorded in "Galacto Fidelity."  Mr. Ra plays Intergalactic Space Organ. This circa 1972 recording also features Kwame Hadi, Akh Tal Ebah (trumpet), Marshall Allen (alto sax, oboe, piccolo, flute), Danny Davis (alto sax, clarinet), Emo Omoe (bass clarinet, piccolo), John Gilmore (tenor sax), Danny Thompson (baritone sax, flute), Pat Patrick ("barytone" sax), Alzo Wright (cello), Lex Humphries (percussion), June Tyson (vocal). But who is the dancer in red silhouette on the back cover?? The tunes are Universe in Blue Parts 1 & 2, Blackman, In a Blue Mood, Another Shade of Blue.

 I am convinced this is an early early pressing because I know the original owner, who has been collecting LPs since the 60s. (Matrix #: "5000-A   1GB").

One quarter-inch hairline fleck on side A, cut one. It's easy to miss. Excellent rainbow sheen on platter surface. Album has been safely stored upright in climate-controlled conditions.
