Sun Ra (May 22, 1914 to May 30, 1993) was an innovative and individual jazz composer, bandleader and piano and synthesizer player, who came to be known as much for preaching his bizarre cosmic philosophy as for his phenomenal musical compositions and performances. -- at times controversial, weird, unpatriotic? -- he was a major innovator who made use of mythology, showmanship and costumes, looking back on ancient Egypt and forward with an extraterrestrial/galactic narrative. He made something like 125 LPs and performed everything from 30s hotel-band schmaltz to proto synthesizer/space rock pieces and today remains a major figure crossing many genres

LABELS: CLEAN and BRIGHT and have NO wear, NO writing and only ONE light spindle trace on one side. BEAUTIFUL, BARELY PLAYED COPY
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces have their original DEEP, LIKE-NEW, GLOSSY SHEEN and are CLEAN and practically UNMARKED (light sleeve hairlines only which have NO audio consequence)
VINYL Audio: This copy not only looks just about MINT but it SOUNDS STUNNING FROM START TO FINISH. The delivery here is absolutely SENSATIONAL – BEAUTIFULLY RICH, WARM and VIBRANT SOUND. The LP plays to the highest standard with TREMENDOUS AUDIO CLARITY, NO distortion and NO groove-wear. There are NO scratches, skips or jumps, NO clicks/pops and barely any surface noise - practically PRISTINE PLAYBACK. A FINER COPY WOULD BE VERY HARD TO LOCATE INDEED. Must be critically graded MINT(-) for audio - OUTSTANDING COPY
SLEEVE: The fully laminated sleeve has a BEAUTIFUL, DEEP GLOSS to its surfaces with NO rubbing. There is NO wear to the edges and the spine is straight and true with all text CLEAR and BOLD - there is some very slight corner bumping but otherwise, NEAR MINT - SUPERB SLEEVE
