Description

SUN RA Sealed/never opened 45 rpm 2LP on white vinyl by Real Gone Jazz. Numbered Limited Edition of 500 (no. 365), this is of one of his finest albums from 1959. Jazz In Silhouette. For me the sound is nearer to soul jazz than his later freakouts, could almost be a blue note date. Band includes Marshall Allen, John Gilmore and Ronnie Boykins, their presence alone almost guaranteeing the great reviews this got. Closest thing to audiophile, best sounding version to my ears of three different pressings heard, given the age of the source material, this is very impressive I bought a copy for myself and am loving it.
