Description
The title is misspelled on the labels, and should in fact be : " TAKING A CHANCE ON CHANCEY" in reference to french horn player Vincent Chancey, who had just joined the Arkestra in the fall of 1977
El Saturn 772 (matrix # 772-A “ BP “/ 772 B) – silver on black printed labels – original copy from 1977. An excellent and essential album, which saw only one very limited pressing, and there is no re-release in sight.
LP is clean and shiny – looks almost like new, so EX+ to NM, but keep in mind that all copies of this album have a mastering defect (sometimes referred to as pressing defect) which affects the sound of side A of the LP – side B sounds much better. The cover is "A TONAL VIEW OF TIMES TOMORROW", which was the original cover for three different albums released in the early 70s ("Space Probe”, "Outer Spaceways Incorporated" and "Invisible Shield") – for those albums, the screen-printed sheet was pasted on textured blue covers, while here it is on a white one, and has its title type-written on a small sticker – the cover is in EX to EX+ condition. This cover is exactly like the one pictured in Hartmut Geerken’s "Omniverse” ! – I have never seen a copy other than the one pictured in his book and this one.
I only charge for the actual cost of shipping and can offer several options : to the US, if packaged under 500g, it would be about $10 for regular Air Mail (no tracking) or $18.50 by Expedited (like Priority) Mail with tracking (which I’d recommend) – to Europe, Japan or elsewhere, packaged under 500g, it would be about $17 by regular Air Mail (no tracking) – Express Mail is best, but unfortunately very expensive : about $60.
Accepted payment method : Paypal – payment expected within 5 days
