Description

This is an ultra rare and unique Saturn LP handpainted and signed by Sun Ra himself! Around 10 years ago I privately bought 4 handpainted Sun Ra albums from a collector who obtained them directly from Sun Ra in the late 70s/early 80s. Two of them had Sun Ra's signature on them and this collector claimed they were by Sun Ra himself. I am selling one of those two right now...the signature on this LP looks to be in the same penmanship as the signature on the album I am keeping. This is a later Morton St, PA address pressing of "My Brother the Wind vol.1"...with handmarked cover and signature by Sun Ra. This version seems to be considerably rarer then the original standard black label ankh Saturn issue. Cover is NM. Vinyl is EX only due to multiple pressing bubbles/dimples that do not sound and some needle cluster marks at the very end of each side that produce a few crackles in the last seconds of music before the runout groove. I just played this again and playback is very clean and enjoyable.
