Following the unprecedented success of the previous Sun Ra triple pack (JM073 – The Shadows Cast by Tomorrow) which sold out worldwide within 24 hours of release, here is the second and final instalment of our foray into the intriguing, beguiling and mythical world of the Sun Ra 45. This triple 45 set includes 6 sides of Sun Ra in his various incarnations spanning three decades:

-Pressed on clear vinyl
-Custom made hand-printed triple gatefold sleeve, each one individually numbered (this one is number 601)
-Contains glow-in-the-dark slipmat!
-Artwork, design & hand silkscreening by House Of Traps.
A recorded 1954 or 1955; first released in 1983 as Saturn 9/1954.
B recorded at a rehearsal in 1959; originally released around 1968 as Saturn 874.
C originally released around 1969 as Saturn 911-AR.
D originally released in 1975 as Saturn 256.
E and F released on Saturn 2100 in 1978, both are live recordings from a concert held in Italy on January 23, 1978.
Vinyl and sleeve in MINT condition and has never been opened as far as i know! I ordered this brand new from an online record shop and when it arrived the shrink-wrap was split down the main spine. I wanted a properly sealed copy so ordered another one, and kept this one, until now, without ever opening it. I doubt the sleeve has ever been slid out of the shrink-wrap because it would be extremely hard to get it back on in its current position without splitting it.
