Hallo,
ich biete hier eine rare Original Schelleck von Rufus Thomas auf dem SUN Label mit den Titeln "Bear Cat" und "Walking In The Rain" an. Garantierte Originalpressung aus dem Jahr 1953, siehe Foto mit dem Ausschnitt aus dem Dead Wax.
I am offering a guaranteed original copy (see dead wax etching) of Rufus Thomas´ first record on the SUN label from 1953. Titles are "Bear Cat" and "Walking In The Rain".
Die Platte spielt sauber durch und ist akustisch zw. VG und VG+ einzuordnen.
Seite A / Bear Cat: Eine 7 von 10 insgesamt, keine starken fühlbaren Kratzer. Nah an VG++, wenn auf der 1 Uhr Position nicht eine fühlbare Welle (wahrscheinlich durch Hitzeeinwirkung entstanden) wäre. Spielt auf meinem Plattenspieler einwandfrei durch, natürlich mit etwas Hintergrundgeräusch, das aber nie lauter als die Musik wird.
The 78 plays through nicely, acustically it is a VG or VG+ as per my opinion. Side A / Bear Cat is a 7 out of a 10, retains much of its gloss all over and has only a few non-feelable scratches and scuffs. Very close to being VG++ but there is a heat damage at the one o´clock position (see pics) which is feelable but does not affect play on my record player. Of course, it is hearable through playback but it never overpowers the music at any time.
Seite 2 / Walking In The Rain: Ebenfalls sehr sauber, keine schwerwiegenden Kratzer, die fühlbar sind. Auf der Position zw. 3 und 4 Uhr ebenfalls eine kleine Stelle, die nach einer "Hitzedelle" aussieht. Hörbar, aber die Platte spielt auf meinem Plattenspieler einwandfrei durch.
Side B / Walking In The Rain: Also very glossy, just some scuffing and no deep scratches. Has some heat damage as well towards the end of the song between the 3 and 4 o´clock position. Hearable through playback but not overpowering the music. Damage does not affect play on my record player.
